Description
One of two parties held for the children of Biddeford Pool by summer residents Mrs. T.K. Neidringhaus of St. Louis and Mrs. Foster (home state unknown); this one at the home of "Mrs. Foster". The parties were in apology for setting the house dogs upon neighborhood children as they attempted to leave May Day baskets for the women at Mrs. Neidringhaus' front door. These photographs were originally mis-labeled as a "war relief party" meant to raise funds for the Red Cross or American Expeditionary Forces. Aston Knight, the artist, can be seen in the left background under the big umbrella.
