Description
Central Maine Power Co. promoted "Kilowatt Savings Time" with buttons and advertisements, asking customers to limit their electrical usage during peak usage times.
The energy crisis of the late 1970s prompted the campaign that allowed the company to limit the use of oil-fired peak-generating plants or purchases from non-CMP electrical generators.
