Description
In the 1930s the Unobsky family lived in this house on Washington Street. Later Arthur and Evelyn McCurdy lived here for many years.
McCurdy operated a Chevrolet dealership and auto repair facility on the adjacent triangular-shaped lot known as “Flatiron Corner.” When he retired, the Corey brothers took over the garage, but not the Chevy dealership.
Arthur’s son Eugene held the Chevy dealership in Machias. For a number of years, into the first decade of the 21st Century, the house was owned by RMCL, Regional Medical Center, Lubec.
