Description
"Mr. Thompson," dressed in the uniform of the Bath Veteran Firefighters Association, stands in front of a hand pumper fire engine known as the "Senator Baxter."
The "Senator Baxter" had a 10" piston and was built in 1857; it was originally used in Little Falls, New York. Bath acquired it in 1919.
