Contributed by Lubec Historical Society

Description

Quaker Oats operated this cat food plant on Lower Water Street, which closed in 1964. It was used as a place to off-load herring from boats to trucks, by L. Ray Packing of Milbridge. The property has gone through several hands since then, and buildings have been torn down. The photo was taken in late 1975.
