Marion Rier house, Lubec, 1975

Contributed by Lubec Historical Society

Description

This house alongside Forest Avenue faced Main Street, some distance beyond its facade. It was also back to back with the house, still standing, at 25 School Street.

In the 1940’s Bob and Lora Josselyn and their family, including Rev. Lynne Josselyn, newly returned home, lived there for a little while. The black iron fence went all around the yard, including beside the sidewalk on Main Street.

The house was removed when Forest Avenue became a private way, Pike Lane, later in the 20th Century.
