Description

Pictured in this photo are, from left to right, Emily, Emily's husband, Emily's mother, Albert Butler Richardson, and Annah Butler Richardson. The description on the back of the photo reads : "My Norwegian teacher in national costume, her husband and her mother, and Albert."

Emily was Annah's Norwegian teacher and friend.

Annah's husband Arthur worked as the agent for the Chesebrough Manufacturing Company, in Moscow, Russia. Due to the Russian Revolution, in the summer of 1917, Annah and Albert left Moscow for Norway. The Richardsons were originally from Rockland.
