Description
Stein Eriksen is pictured here at the 1971 Sugarloaf World Cup.
Stein Eriksen was a famous Norwegian Ski Racer. The highlight of his alpine ski racing career was at the 1952 Olympics held in his home country of Norway in Oslo. There he won a Gold medal in Giant Slalom and a Silver medal in the slalom. He also won 3 Gold medals at the World Championships in 1954.
He later became an instructor and directed many ski schools in America. As of 2012 he resides in Deer Valley Utah where he owns a hotel named the Stein Eriksen Lodge.
