Description
In the finish area after completing his Giant Slalom runs, Gustavo Thoeni was filmed by ABC. ABC Wide World of Sports filmed the entire 1971 Sugarloaf World Cup.
Gustavo, who was from Italy, was just 19 at the time. By winning at Sugarloaf he clinched the overall World Cup for the season. It would be the first of 4 Overall World Cup titles that he would earn.
