Description
Three members of the Bowdoinham Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary pose in front of one of the departments' engines. Ladies Auxiliaries were formed for many fire departments in New England during World War II to assist with feeding firefighters during fires and to help with the social aspects of a department's functioning.
