Description
At the time of this photograph Nowland Hall, on the left, served as the women's dormitory and Cyr Hall, to its right, was a classroom and library building.
Nowland Hall was built in 1891 but burned down in 1955. As of 2012 there is a Nowland Hall on the University of Maine Fort Kent Campus, but it is an entirely different building and serves as a dining hall.
Cyr Hall was originally built in 1889 but was torn down and rebuilt three more times. The Cyr Hall in this photograph is most likely the second incarnation, built in 1894.
