Description
On July 22, 1905 the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard blasted an area on Henderson's Point that was considered a hazard to navigation. The shipyard also needed room for expansion.
According to the text on the reverse of this image it was the largest dynamite explosion of its time.
This ticket allows the bearer access to certain observation points: Moses' Island, Goat Island, Oliver Pasture in Newcastle, New Hampshire and Pierce's Island.
