Description
This Hartland Primary School diploma was awarded to Mary Anderson on June 25, 1897. Her teacher was Myrtle F. Dalme.
The Hartland Primary School was located in the Hartland Academy building. The building burned in 1923, and it was immediately rebuilt. The school stayed in operation as a high school until 1968, then served as a middle school. As of 2012, the building is vacant.
After high school graduation, Mary taught in the academy building and later in the North Hartland school district. She married Percy Butterfield and was a lifelong resident of Hartland.
