Description

On the back of this photograph is written, "Sawmill by Huntington, next owners Randall Noyes and Randall Wilson. Randall Wilson is now living in Kenduskeag a veteran of the Civil War, then owned by Aben McGragor then by Mr. Frank then by Joe Perkins then by Jim Oneal then by Charles Chase."

Elizabeth Huntington (1801-1825) was the first wife of Randall Noyes (1803-1850). Huntington was the daughter of Benjamin and Judith Huntington of Litchfield. Her family may have started the sawmill and given it its name.
