President Dwight Eisenhower and Senator Margaret Chase Smith descend from the platform as Governor Edmund Muskie and his wife Jane follow.
After speaking to the crowd at the Skowhegan Fair Grounds the President and his entourage made their way to Senator Smith's Skowhegan home for a lobster and steak dinner.
