Description
This photo shows the Monson slate quarry crew with large blocks of slate ready to be taken into the mill. In the mill the slate was made into electrical boards, slate shingles, sinks, refrigerator boxes and so on.
The rail car on the left was used to transport the heavy slate from the quarry to the mill.
