Description
Scene from Dr. Benjamin Lake Noyes' residence in Stonington. The photo was taken July 30, 1942, an hour before sunset.
Noyes was born in 1870 and died in 1945. He was a physician, surgeon, occultist, inventor, surveyor and antiquarian who settled on Deer Isle just before the turn of the twentieth century.
