Description
Fort Allen Park, located within the Eastern Promenade, has a 9.33 acre landscape. A granite bench was dedicated in 1929 as an American Civil War monument honoring the Union Army.
The mast of the USS Portland is located in Fort Allen Park, honoring the USS Portland that participated in four Pacific aircraft carrier battles.
The caption on this postcard reads "Portland, Me., Fort Allen Park and Cape Shore."
