Description
This post card shows the East Dixfield Post Office in its present location since 1914 on the Wilton side of the road. Also depicted here are the general store and the residence of Elton Winter.
Since opening in 1829, the post office has been moved from one side of the road to the other four times.
East Dixfield is a divided village. The northeasterly part of the village lies in the Town of Wilton in Franklin County and the southwesterly part lies in the Town of Dixfield in Oxford County.
