Description
Portland High School cadets attended a training camp at High Head, Harpswell, Maine in July 1896. Written in the scrapbook is, 'One morning when the high school principal * visited the camp the boys sewed his socks together and used them as wadding for the gun.' *Mr. Elbro Chase
