Description
This photo shows the Hall family, father Ralph, son Charles, and daughter Arline, breaking roads with their horse team on Main Street in East Dixfield in 1936. This would have been one of the last years that town residents plowed the main roads as the State assumed this job (US Rte 2) in the mid 1930s.
Alberts Filling Station can also be seen in this photograph.
