Friendship steamer wharf, ca. 1915

Contributed by Friendship Museum

Description

This color postcard shows the steamboat Monhegan that has just landed at the Jameson & Wotton Wharf. Three horse and buggies wait on shore for the unloading of passengers and goods. In the foreground fish flakes are drying in the sun.

Friendship was a popular destination because of its attractive summer inns and Camp Durrell, a boys' camp on a nearby island.
