Description
This photograph is of, left to right, Representative John Martin, Mrs. Albert Beliveau, Governor Joe Brennan, Bishop Amedée Proulx, Justice Armand Dufresne, and Normand Lapointe at the dedication of the Centre d'Héritage Franco-Américain in 1983.
The Centre d'Héritage Franco-Américain moved into the former Sacred Heart School in Auburn, when the building was occupied by the University of Maine at Augusta's Auburn-Lewiston Center. The Centre d'Héritage remained in that location until the creation of the University of Southern Maine's Lewiston-Auburn College, at which time the Centre's assets were transferred to the University.
