Description
This small formal portrait of Bristol native Sarah Emery (1883-1976) at age 24 was taken at Bar Mills, near Buxton. That year she "may" have been teaching at the S Road School, located in what would become eight years later the town of South Bristol. Sarah Emery taught for forty-nine years (1904-1953), all but two of them in South Bristol.
