Description
This image of the South Bristol High School on Rutherford Island was taken by photographer Ivan Flye on February 16, 1937. The precisely dated negative still exists. Approximately forty students stand outside the school, which received its second story sometime before 1927, retaining the belfry and flagpole of the original one-story Lincoln School.
