Description
The Maine Baking Company on Minot Avenue in Auburn, was founded in 1922 by Philippe Couture and Armand Dufresne. Pictured here is the renovated facility which was constructed in 1928. Owners founded the company with 8 employees, but grew to 150 at its height in the 1940s. The bakery closed in 1955.
