Description
Pulpwood was sent down the chute and into the water in the spring for transporation to the St. Croix Pulp and Paper mill downstream in Baileyville. This pulpwood chute was on Silver Lake in Township 26ED. The picture was taken from a boat in the 1930s. There is very little evidence of the chute visible today.
