Description
In this color postcard, the popular steamboat Monhegan is tied up to the Jameson & Wotton wharf.
Two years earlier, Captain I. E. Archibald sold his flagship to the Eastern Steamboat Company at the height of the steamboat era. He was concerned that the automobile industry, although still in its infancy, would eventually become a serious threat to waterborne craft.
