Description
Former hospital, Main Street in Bridgton.
This tax record, created around 1938, refers to the former Northern Cumberland Memorial Hospital. This buildings was originally constructed as a single family residence for William Cross around 1870. The building was later renovated by local industrialist William Fessenden Perry (who is credited with inventing the Perry Turbine, a highly efficient water wheel). This card references a deed dated 1919; that is not the date of the photograph. The current address (2016) is28 Main St.
