Description
Engine No. 4 was built by the Vulcan Company in 1918 and operated on the Monson Railroad line until the railroad ceased operation in 1943. This photograph shows Engine No 4 at the Monson Railroad Station located on Water Street in Monson. The combination car is behind the engine and carried passengers and baggage.
The men in this photograph are Cecil Johnson, trackman Gus Johnson, quarryworker Harold E. Morrill, Superindentent of the railroad-Paul Jackson, railroad clerk Albion Johnson, and a fireman.
