Description
Dr. Alphus Davison arrived in Monson in September of 1823 from Vermont. The first few years he lived in the home of Deacon Hyde until he built this home in 1825 on Center Street in Monson. It later became the Baptist Parsonage although the exact date is unknown. The Baptist meeting house was erected in 1845 and perhaps the home became the parsonage at that time.
As of 2013, the home is privately owned and is still standing today. Although renovated throughout the years it is the oldest home in Monson.
