Description
This picture was taken of the Exhibition Building at the Princeton Fairgrounds in 1910. On the back of the postcard it says "3rd from left Ethel Cox" and "standing right 'Tip' Cox".
The Princeton Agricultural Fair was established in 1885. Among its promoters were Oscar Pike, president; Saunders G. Spooner, treasurer; Horace Buck; Charles A. Rolfe; and Charles Clark. The Fair flourished for only a short time before the facilities were taken over in 1921 by the Orono Pulp and Paper Company and used as a place to store wood for loading on the train, and later trucks.
