Description
This postcard shows the fairly new C.H. Towle Hardware building on Weld Street in Dixfield around 1915. Charles Towle bought the original building from Almon Stockbridge in 1911 and soon replaced it with this building. Thus began a three generation ownership of Towle's Hardware and Lumber Co.
To the left is the Randall Law Office and to the right are the rear porches of the Ione Harlow building that faced Main Street.
