Description
The Saco Street School was the second of two schools by that name in Westbrook. The exact location and dates of the first Saco Street school are not known.
This school was built in 1868, on Saco Street on the site of a former "Iron works" and was in use until 1953, when the Saccarappa School opened nearby on Huntress Ave. The building was then sold to the Knights of Columbus group, and they met there until the early 2000s, when the building was sold to the Westbrook Eagles Club.
