Description
Monson's Sesquicentennial Parade was held on a rainy day, June 24, 1972. As part of the parade was this replica of the Monson Narrow Gauge Railroad Engine No. 4. The Monson Narrow Gauge played a vital role in the slate industry of Monson from 1883 to 1945. The replica was made on a pickup truck chaisse with rubber wheels and is not running but still on view at a resale shop in Abbot.
