Description
This stencil was by the International Paper Company in its Otis Mill around 1940 to mark a roll of paper that was being shipped to Montgomery Ward to be used for their catalog. The stencil would be placed on the roll of paper and the ink roller would pass over the stencil leaving the client's name on the roll of paper. Later the stencils became much smaller, and would have a combination of letters and numbers for each client.
