Description
This photograph shows the the damage to the Dana Warp mill, located on the island in the Presumpscot river, after a fire on Labor Day in 1893. The following day, Woodbury K. Dana, the owner of the mill, said that he was already planning to make the mill bigger and better than before.
The Dana Warp Mill, a manufacturer of cotton warp and yarns, operated from 1866 to the late 1950s.
