This photograph is of a unit of World War I U. S. Army soldiers assembled on the front steps of the Walker Memorial Library in 1917. The only person identified is Robert Robinson, third from the left in the back row.
Three hundred and ninety-eight men from Westbrook served in the military in WWI, and 19 of them died in service.
