Description
George Pearson signed a statement that he agreed to build a road from "the North West part of Doct. Coffin's stone wall on Mount Joy Neck" to the site of a planned hospital. He was to be paid $25 for the road.
Pearson also agreed to haul rocks for a foundation for the building either from the lot itself or from the "Fort on the Hill."
A committee of five Portland men was overseeing efforts to build a hospital in the city.
