Winter scene in Boothbay Harbor, ca. 1920

Description

Although automobiles were becoming common by 1920, horses or oxen were required for moving heavy objects like this log, being pulled through the center of town on a snowy Townsend Avenue, probably bound for the Atlantic Coast Company (a couple of blocks away), builder of large schooners.
