Description
The Scotch-type boiler at right is being built at the Portland Company for the Peary Arctic Club, for the explorer steamer Roosevelt.
The photo shows three other steamer boilers under construction as well. Note the Cleveland traveling crane used to lift the heavy sections of boiler plate and to load the large units onto dollies or railroad cars for transporting to the installation site.
