Description
Clarence E. Mulford, author of the Hopalong Cassidy series of western novels, made this scale model of a fort used in the stories, Fort Union.
Meticulous in detail and fact in his novels, Mulford spent hours in research, target practice and model making to be certain the adventures that took place in his stories were possible in real life.
