Description
"Here we see two nine-foot-diameter debarking drums being shipped out of the company complex by rail car to the Great Northern Paper & Pulp Company mill. The rail cars can be shifted right into the shop buildings to allow the huge Cleveland overhead cranes to lift and load these very large and heavy products onto them."--Fletcher, David H. The Portland Company 1896-1982. Charleston, S.C.: Arcadia Pub., 2002. 98.
