Description
Group portrait of the employees at the Weston & Brainerd Sawmill in Skowhegan, around 1875.
"Dow Baker (derby hat and whiskers), foreman of the mill, is at extreme left. Next we have Tom Demo, for many years foreman of the river crew. The man with the pipe is Sam Therren. The man between the pair of horses is Nelson Towle. About the center of the picture, the man in overalls, is A.F. Bickford. At his left stands Samuel Emerson. Still farther to the left, with thumbs tucked under frock, is Joseph Turcotte.
