Description

The steam powered passenger boat, "Mabel" was one of a series of vessels carrying people across Lake Wesserunsett between the 1880s and the 1930s. Plying the lake between East Madison villiage and Lakewood Theatre, they made connections with the trolley cars of the Somerset Traction Co.

From here, passengers could travel to Madison and Skowhegan and also connect to the trolleys of the Skowhegan and Norridgewock line as well as the Central Maine Railroad.
