Description
The Forepaugh circus came to town by railroad and unloaded at the station where Skowhegan's municipal parking lot is today. Later it assembled on Water Street heading West and turned North onto Madison Avenue, as the viewer can see the "Bandwagon" doing in this photo. The parade then proceeded North on Madison until it reached "Fairview Park," today's Skowhegan Fairgrounds.
