Description
The photo taken May 18, 1889 shows the Stinchfield carding mill at left and the Weston & Brainerd sawmill at right.
The latter was swept away in a freshet of Dec. 16, 1901.
The ice house at the extreme right is on the west bank of the Kennebec River.
