Description
Mrs. Isaac W. Loring was a servant of Lucy F.K. Thatcher during her years at Montpelier, the mansion built by her father, General Henry Knox in Thomaston, Maine. Loring was born Mary Elizabeth Gerry on January 18, 1818 in Robbinston, Maine and died in Sharon January 11, 1899. Thatcher lived in the Thomaston mansion from 1851-1854, and was the last Knox descendant to live there. Loring and her husband Isaac signed as witnesses to her will.
