Description
The social center of Squirrel Island summer life was the Casino, which was the venue for dances, concerts, and amateur theatrical productions, including short plays, vaudeville productions and "masquerades."
This photo shows the stage of the Casino with an ensemble cast of youngsters dressed in elaborate costumes for one such masquerade, usually held in late July, circa 1920.
