Description
Children participate in Field Day activities during Fete Week on Squirrel Island, circa 1907. Some young boys have started a footrace while other children wait their turn and adults watch on.
The building to the rear is the Squirrel Island Casino, a dance hall, theater, and social center built in 1887 or 1889. The structure was destroyed in a fire in 1965.
